Welcome to my new blog, adventures of a Professional Organizer and Accredited (Home) Staging Professional. I have more than ten years of experience in helping people to organize their homes and also their personal / professional lives. As an Accredited Staging Professional, I also assist my clients with the preparation of their current home for sale and help to ease the transition to their new home.
I work with clients from New York City to Saratoga Springs, and every client has different needs that calls for a fresh approach to help them un-clutter their lives and in many cases, to sell their homes. The common thread that my clients share is that they all want to simplify their lives. If they are an organization client, they want to streamline their homes. If they are a Home Staging client, they need to begin to pack their belongings in preparation for their move and to re-organize their homes to appeal to the widest possible audience of home buyers.
Please check back often, as I will be adding new tips and observations regularly! I will also keep an up-to-date portfolio of photographs here.
Please feel free to send me your professional or home organizing and home sale questions!!! I will be facilitating questions and answers from my readers.
Thanks for visiting.

Hi. Congratulations on starting your blog. It looks like it will be informative and interesting. I am planning on moving in the next six-to-nine months, and while my house is not scheduled to go on the market until spring, what can I do to best prepare for this?

Hey, Great Website. I do have a question for you. I'm considering hiring a professional organizer. What can I expect, and how do POs work?
Thanks in advance for answering.
Sincerely:
Leslie D.

To stage or not to stage. I've heard that staging a house in order to sell it is a good thing to do. I've also learned that it is quite expensive! In your opinion, is it worth the expense?

I have a 10-month-old boy. His nursery doesn't really have closet space, and although we've made due with dressers and other storage solutions for his clothing, I don't know what to do with his coats. Now that's it's winter, he's got several of them in all different weights, and there's no good place to store them. They get smushed and fall on the floor of our "grown-up" coat closet, and it's really inconvenient to keep them in drawers. As a consequence, every doorknob in our house has a teeny coat hanging on it. This is convenient, but it looks messy. Any ideas?

I've heard the term "home staging," and I know that it's related to selling your home, but I have no idea what it is!
Thanks. Bill
